Dear Families,
Our September/October School Holiday Program is now out and open for bookings! Please find attached our exciting new program, thoughtfully designed by the amazing FOOSHC team.
As always, over the past few months our Educators have been carefully observing, documenting and reflecting on the children’s emerging interests, friendships, wellbeing, schematic play themes and developmental needs. Guided by the My Time, Our Place V2 learning framework, we have intentionally created a holiday program that is engaging, meaningful and met the evolving needs of children .
This program is another wonderful blend of brand-new adventures and much-loved experiences, with many of the activities coming directly from children’s suggestions, conversations, interests and requests. We love seeing children’s voices continue to inform our planning and decision-making.
Some of the exciting experiences we have planned include:
- Weston Park Maze & BBQ enjoying spring in the outdoors, away from screens and embracing nature ,
- Cultural experience with Our Indigenous leader Aaron Boomerang Workshop and Cooking on the fire , a special hands-on cultural experience learning about Aboriginal culture, connection to Country and the traditional significance of boomerangs.
- Bounce Trampoline Centre where the children love to be active and engaged in physical activity,
- Not All Heroes Wear Capes – exploring kindness, courage, helping others and what it really means to be a hero.
- Honey Honey Honey – discovering the fascinating world of bees through hands-on activities with a guest workshop presenter – cooking and making candles and learning about their important role in our environment.
- Kingpin Amusement Centre – fun fun fun
- Animal Antics– making toys and treats to donate to the RSPCA while learning about animal welfare and giving back to our community.
Treetops Adventure Park on Monday Pupil Free Day – Due to popular demand we will be going back to Networld at Treetops and for the over 8s we have added ziplines to try. Numbers are limited
A huge thank you to everyone who continues to share ideas and feedback with us. Your children’s interests and voices really do help shape what happens at FOOSHC.
We can’t wait to spend the holidays with your children!
Happy holidays everyone!
The amazing
FOOSHC Team

This Friday, 11 September at 2pm, we will be holding our Dragon Skip-a-Thon, and we are asking our wonderful Forrest community to dig deep and donate. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference.

🐉 Don’t forget to dress as a dragon!
Families are very welcome to come along, join in the fun, have a jump and help us turn the big skipping ropes for everyone.
Let’s come together as a community and show Tilly and her family just how much Forrest cares. 💚🐉
