ACT Face Mask Mandate

Dear Families

As you are now aware Face masks are mandatory in the ACT and we are asking parents/carers to make sure they are wearing masks when picking up their children from Fooshc and use the hand sanitiser provided upon entry into our service. We are continuing to implement our Covid Response Plan to ensure the safety of our community. COVID-19-Response-Plan-Policy-and-Procedures-2020-1.docx.pdf (forrestpandc.com.au). Please do not send your children if they have any respiratory symptoms or your family has been in an identified hot spot.

Please also see the latest advice from CECA our regulatory body– Although, there are no active cases in the ACT. However, the safety of our community is paramount, so the ACT Government is bringing in this requirement as a proactive measure to support the strengthened travel restrictions that are already in place.

What does this mean for the Education and Care Sector:

  • Parents and visitors to an education and care service will be required to wear a mask when on the premises.
  • Educators will be required to wear a face mask when on excursion.
  • Educators will need to wear a face mask for face-to-face engagement with the community.

Once again, we continue to do our best to protect your children.

Regards Ali and the FOOSCH Team
